2006-5-11: Independence Essay Competition

The Alliance For Change is inviting entries from Guyanese between the ages of 15 to 40 for an essay competition in the following manner.

Write an essay of no less than 500 words and no more than 1500 words on the topic:-

Change and the Guyana of tomorrow

Each essay will be judged for content, clarity of expression of ideas, paragraphing and organization, language and referencing. Essays should be addressed to Alliance For Change with the following information attached:-

Full Name and Address
Telephone Number (if available)
Copy of Birth Certificate or any other proof of identification

Please note that all pieces must be original.

1st - 1 Razor Phone and a Book Voucher from Austin’s Book Store
2nd - 1 MP3 Music Player and a Book Voucher from Austin’s Book Store
3rd – 1 DVD Player and a Book Voucher from Austin’s Book Store
NB. A special prize will be awarded to the youngest participant with the best essay.
